I know a lot of you like a bit of pie and mash. Maureen's is a great pie and mash shop in Chrisp At, Poplar. They are now doing nationwide delivery. Or hot delivery if more local or Kent, Essex. Only just started but seems well busy. A likeable bloke so said would share the pie love

Was pleasantly surprised to see a Pie and Mash shop (Golden) in Clapham High Street the other week...I thought I'd line the lungs before going on a lash-up...not bad at all..even had some eels as well...think the bloke running it was a Bubble

They sell their pies to my local pub as they are listed on the menu as Maureen's of Poplar pie & mash - very nice

I miss Maureen’s used to use it a lot when my Nan lived in Poplar. Don’t get pie & mash here in Devon but do get decent jellied eels and quality crab sandwiches.

I like eels now, never would have touched them as a kid. But yeah, plenty of vinegar and pepper. Which tells me they are pretty bland without. Smoked eel has a whole lot more flavour.

Had some jellied eels at lunchtime as it goes
Plenty of vinegar and white pepper, easy as you bite as the bones are sharp

Maureen’s pie n mash takes me back... used to go there lunch break when i was at langdon park.
Not a ‘noted’ pie n mash shop though, so no eels for those who like em.

We have a Wimpy, also a Pie and Mash wagon that comes round once a week, pisses on nearly every Shop going as well.

Yeah Ive seen that and have been tempted. It certainly looks good.
Chrisp street and Watney market the last of the original places left. Even the Roman has gone hipster.

Only ever been to Maureen’s once and had the salt beef dinner. That was good.
